The “Walker House” is a registered historic home located 2 blocks from downtown Breckenridge. It is a charming log cabin with Victorian accents. It has a fenced in private backyard with a hot tub, and is across the street from the 2 bus stops which take you to the ski lifts. In the summer, the patio is shaded by beautiful Aspen trees, and in the winter the yard becomes a quiet winter wonderland.
The interior of the house is cozy and charming. The kitchen is updated with granite counters and is fully equipped. There are two bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom with a claw foot tub. The attic is fondly referred to as the “Kid’s Club”, and includes sleeping for 5 and a Wii system. The fenced in yard is secure for dogs, so if your dog is well behaved and house trained we welcome him/her as well.
The Walker House has historic significance. It was build by Charles Walker, one of the original surveyors for the town of Breckenridge and the surrounding mines. He allotted himself 2.5 city lots to build himself a house. Based on the lot size, the Walker House has one of the largest yards available in town. It is a secluded oasis in the middle of town.
